Shearer Amusement

In this unit, we will be completing a project centered around a summertime favorite, amusement parks. We will plan and build an amusement park, while focusing on cost, area, and extras that go into the amusement park.

Let's start off with some basic questions!
1) What amusement parks are near where you live or what ones have you visited? Make a list!

2) Plan a trip using Google maps to a local amusement park of your choosing. How far away is the amusement park from the school? Record how far away they are in miles and driving time.
2A) What amusement park did you choose?
2B) How far away is the park rounded to the nearest mile?
2C) IF gas currently is $3.50 per gallon, how much would it cost you to drive there and back?

3) Review the amusement park website.
3A) What will it cost for you and a friend to attend the park for the day?
3B) What will you eat? What will it cost?

4) After reviewing the website and thinking about your past trip, what were some of your favorite rides and activities? Create a list.
